Tape Measure Surprise

I have used a Tape Measure for many years in wood working, metal working, and round-the-house common usage. But, have never noticed before what is printed on the opposite side of the ruler.
I have a good quality Stanley Powerlock II, Model 33-312, that is 12 foot long. On the back side of the tape is printed the following commonly used tables;

  1. Decimal Equivalents - in 8ths, 16ths, and 32nds of an inch.
  2. Nail Lengths - from 2d thru 20d sizes.
  3. Common Nails per pound - from 2d thru 20d sizes.
  4. Wood Screw Dimensions - from Gauge 2 thru 14.
  5. Useful Formulas - Circumference of Circle, Area of Circle, Area of Triangle.
  6. Conversion Tables - Cubic Yard, Metric, Inch, etc.
  7. Coated Abrasives - Very Fine thru Very Course.
  8. Actual Sizes of Lumber - 1 x 2’s, 2 x 4’s, 2 x 12’s, etc.

I checked out my other Tape Measures and they had nothing printed on the backside. I checked a Harbor Freight 25 Foot (Pittsburgh brand) and another Stanley 8 Foot Powerlock.

What is on your Tape Measure?

My tape measure surprise today is I had a broken unit not worth repairing, so I used the tape to add a little bit of embedded measurement to some of the pallet storage
