Tap and Die Selection

Does anyone know if we have 13/16"-20 UNEF tap hiding somewhere? I know that size and pitch is a bit of a unicorn, but thought I’d ask before ordering one…

Allsize Bolt Supply Co. since I know you’ll ask what the place is called

Second time I’ve tried them… Second time they’ve come up short.

Machine Shop does have some Tap and Dies, but I don’t believe we have that thread, we might fine some fine but not Extra Fine

Just as a curiosity, is that commonly used for some specific application?

Not in the least bit. It’s used on the back side of a specific size Mil Spec circular connector. I just happen to be using said connector and need to fabricate an adapter for it.

Thanks for the links. I’ve found several sources for them ranging from $20-$150. The majority of this part needs cut on a lathe, so maybe I’ll attempt to cut the thread there as well.

Are the threading feeds working properly on the clausing-colchester 13" lathe?

Yes though I’d not say extensive testing has been done yet.
