In case anyone is interested: I got a “manager’s special” email from the Northwest Highway Tandy - they have the Deluxe Splitter that’s normally $385 with Elite membership, on sale for $220 in April.
And that store is having an “open house” sale this Friday/Saturday.

I stopped into the Tandy’s in Irving last weekend and they told me that they too are having a “open house” sale this weekend. According to the manager, you will get the next discount down on your membership. So if you have the business member discount like DMS does you will get the distributor discount instead.
They have also instituted a Elite discount for any one with a military ID card (retired or active).

Just starting working with leather but that seems like a great deal. Any suggestions on what to look for?
I would mostly make belts since that is the only thing I have made, so far.
