Over the past three days, I have ground the table flat, and then the bottom of the mag chuck, and then turned it over and finished the top surface today. It’s flat across the entire surface of the top to within one and a half tenths but across the majority it’s less than a tenth.
Good news is that the spindle behaved fantastic and didn’t start to make any sounds. I left the machine running at times for over 45 minutes and it ran great.
The Ways seem to be very smooth with no bumps or lumps anywhere along them.
