Suggestions for Personal Firewall

I have been using Comodo for a while, but am tired of their shenanigans and incompetence. Any strong preferences or suggestions for a Windows 7 (sigh…) compatible personal Firewall? I have read in more than forum or blog that Windows Firewall (currently disabled on my machines) is more than sufficient, now-a-days. Yea or nay? Other thoughts…?

I use the built-in… it has worked fine for all my mobile needs.

Microsoft has done a decent job with it.

I’ve been using Windows Virus and Firewall for years without any problem. In reading articles, when they are compared, everyone seems to have a hole in there product. So read the reveiws and decide where your risk is.

Besides being Free, I figure (probably wrongly) that Windows has the most insight into the product and less likely to make something with conflicts.

Hardware firewalls with VPN support can be had for a couple hundred bucks.

If all you want is a software firewall on the local machine, the windows firewall is really pretty good. McAfee has a sw firewall product that’s more granular, but it’s aimed at the windows server market. The consumer one is crap.

RasPi + iptables? (Or something cheap with two NICs?)
