Study Notes for the MultiCam Checkride

I’m currently preparing for my MultiCam checkride. I plan to update this thread with my notes, resources and miscellaneous files. This transparency helps me to better calibrate my study time based on the expectations of the other makers at DMS, which is the hard part of learning a new machine. Especially since the manufacturer already included a quick-start guide with the manual.

After revisiting the CAD file, here are a few things I changed:

  • I used Fusion 360 for all the CAD work because the part was so simple.
  • I edited the vector art in Inkscape to make the gavel read correctly in outline form.
  • I used monoline text.

For catching mistakes it is very helpful to run the Fusion 360 “simulate” function with all the toolpaths, etc. disabled.
