Water expands as it freezes. I wonder if putting these in the freezer would cause the ice to push them apart. Not saying it’s gonna work, but it’s a thought I had.

That’s not a bad idea but I don’t know if there is enough water in there.
Heat the lower portion up in like a double boiler. The water will turn to steam. Water to steam expansion ratio will pop it off one way or another. 1700 times is the ratio. I’d suggest doing it outside with maybe a turkey fryer, just in case she pop off with excitement.
Warnings like this are not the source for good entertainment nor beer drinking storytelling years from now…
In the wife’s kitchen is really the place to try to make the magic pressure release !
