Just did a password reset on my DMS talk account. I got a link in the email that visibly showed up as http://talk.dallasmakerspace.org/u/password-reset/some_uuid , but if I hovered over the link it wanted to send me to some site like :
http:// post.spmailtechno.com/f/some_other_gibberish
Anyway, I was wondering if anybody else had seen this. Seems rather odd.
I guess this is probably normal behavior, but anytime I get a link that looks one way visually and sends you to someplace else, that is usually a sign of some kind of deception.
Looks like the domain is associated with SparkPost, which is a transactional email delivery service. It’s common to see these type of redirect links from services like this to enable statistics.
Maybe someone can provide some confirmation that talk is using SparkPost.
