There are cars on the road today which can be hacked and driven off of a cliff.
If you want more IT security nightmare fuel, I’m sure someone like @AndrewLeCody or @yashsedai and others could provide it for you.

Ah, the infamous Jeep Hack. It was surprising they were that vulnerable.
Risks exist with anything connected to any network. Don’t be fooled into believing that your smart meter, programmable thermostat, electronic door lock, security camera, etc are safe.
