Is 16 gauge 304 stainless sheet permitted to be cut on the bandsaw? I believe it’s too thick for the stomp shear and can’t be lined up on the plasma cutter. Thank you.

What temper is the 304 SS in? If below 55 HRC you should be okay to cut on band saw. If you aren’t sure, then don’t cut. But plasma best bet.
The piece was already cut out of a larger sheet and now needs to be cut a slightly different shape. I don’t know how I can align it and cut it since I’d be starting the cut off the metal. I don’t have a larger sheet to start the cut on.
Unfortunately I don’t know the temper. I may use a cutoff wheel.
