During metal shop basics, we discovered the spot welder was inoperable. We suspect the relay.

Interesting. I attempted to use it last week. It was heating but I didn’t want to start messing with the alignment. So I MIG weld spotted it.

Are you talking about the small handheld size unit that Andy Allman loaned the space? He may have more info.
