I want to thank you for signing up for the Woodshop Basics Class at Dallas Makerspace. We will meet outside the Woodshop [in the warehouse space] Wednesday, November 30th at 6:30PM. The class consists of reviewing and using most of the machines in the Woodshop [exceptions are the CNC Multicam and the Lathes].
Eye protection is required in the Woodshop - we do have some shared glasses that might be available, but I strongly recommend bringing your own if possible. DMS has also lifted the mask ban, so you are no longer required to wear a mask during class [please feel free to if you desire though]. For class, I will not be wearing a mask - it is easier for me to communicate with the group. I do ask that if you are sick [COVID, flu, anything else], please cancel and I will schedule a class when you are feeling better.
If you have to cancel, please let me know and/or post on Talk so someone can take your spot [unfortunately there is a backlog of people needing to take the class]. I have also attached the “Unofficial & Incomplete Woodshop Manual” as a reference - this is just rough notes and not meant to replace the actual user manuals/guides [most of which can be found here].
