Soldering Iron, Air, DC Supply with Asense, Voltmeter, RF level check $59 delivered new

I paid $59 or so delivered, and so far I am in shock with how nice what I got is, and seems to work so well. I have done no soldering yet, but just look at the feature set: soldering iron digitally set, heat gun temp digi set, fan pot set, 0-15V power supply up to 2 amp digi set, read 0- 15 v digi, current draw anaolog, RF signal level meter. $55?

I liked it so much it got to wear my Pololu sticker I got for ordering Altimu. Also check out the barrage of tips I got with the unit. Must be 10-15 extra tips there, many are very sharp for teensy stuff…lol

I soldered a header onto altimu, with temp set at 450. The iron heated up in about 30 seconds, and held its temp no matter what I did. It was a breeze soldering with this unit. I know its cheap china gear, but seems to be good cheap china gear. I plan to purchase more cheap china gear. For anyone interested, it is Zeny 853D.

Here is another guy who bought one and he had a similar good result:

450C is OK for lead free, but too hot if you’re doing leaded solder. Drop it to 350.

Keep an eye on your heating elements and get a couple of spares while you can. Some of the Chinese units have weak ones that don’t last very long.
