I am forming a small biz saturday event at the brewery where I work (Lakewood Brewing in Garland) - part of our mission is supporting local makers, and Im a member and big fan of DMS.
At the moment we are just seeing what the interest level might be. It would be free to set up and sell your stuff for the day and we will be heavily promoting the event through social media, press releases, etc.
It will be a curated event but we have a lot if space. Looking to get as many options as possible.
If you are interested please respond to the email below with the following:
What do you want to sell? What makes your shop unique? Include pics if possible.
How much inventory do you have or plan to have by 11/24/18? We are wanting people to have enough to sell throughout the day. It will likely run from noon to 6 or so.
How much space will you need? EX: 1/3 of a regular folding table.
Do you have your own table or set up?
There will be more info coming, just wanting to get DMS ahead of the curve.
Yes it’s happening! I’ll paste the requirements that I have been sending out to vendors below, this is geared more towards people that are already doing farmers markets and craft shows, etc. We will make any necessary adjustments for DMS members. I know not everyone has the capacity to fill up a 10x10 space and may not have tables, etc available. If you are interested in selling some stuff, let me know and we’ll make room. Or if you just want to come hang out and drink a beer, we have room for that too.
If @Team_PR wants a booth to talk about DMS in general that would be cool too.
• Free to attend for vendors and the public, the event will be held at the brewery, 2302 Executive Dr. Garland, TX 75041
• 10x10 space available. If you are unable to fill a 10x10 space we can split it up and have you share a space with another vendor.
• Setup is from 10am – 11am, and the show goes from 11am – 7pm. We ask that all vendors stay open for the entire event.
• Space will be determined on a first come basis. Some locations will be outside in the beer garden, but we will make inside arrangements in case of bad weather.
• You will need to supply your own tables, tents, chairs, extension cords, etc. We will only be providing a place to set up.
• We will be promoting the event through press releases, social media, and our website.
Capt and I would be interested. Ideally we’d like a full table, plus room for one of our bookcases. I think the bookcase is 3’x1’, roughly. We have quite a lot of stock, so there’s no question of us selling out early. We sell handmade blank books, dip pens, ink and ink pots.
So – I just re-read everything. I was confused about the way things are set up. If it’s not too late, could we get a 10x10 area? I’m assuming that puts us outdoors? Although, we’d prefer indoors if we can get it.
