I was just at plywood company of Fort Worth and noticed that they have a pretty impressive selection of 1x sinker cypress. Some of it is pretty wide boards. The grain in that wood is something to see. But then you got to buckle up pretty tight because it’s a mere $34 a board foot!

That about the going rate out sinker cypress at the moment… Tide water is even more… I was quoted for a 72” beam 10 x 10 $1200 from the mill in NOLA
I’ve got a cypress log that was underwater for about 12 hours last week that I’ll cut you a beam that size from for about 1/4 the price

Just to clarify, I have regular cypress, not sinker cypress.
