"Shrinky-dink" plastic PPE "ear savers," makeable on Silhouette or Cricut

For what it’s worth, “ear savers” can be made from shrinky-dink type plastic, cuttable on a Silhouette or Cricut machine.

Here’s a post about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/cricut/comments/fw58lb/my_incredible_dad_converted_his_3d_printer/
(says SVG files coming soon)

And another version with 3d printable and vinyl-cutter versions:

I’m going really low-tech and just making some fabric ties that can be threaded through the two elastic loops and tied in back.

FWIW, the clear plastic clamshell boxes that fruit and lettuce comes in works like shrinky-dinks plastic. You can cut out pieces, color them with Sharpies, place on aluminum foil and bake in a toaster oven.

Daiso also sells shrinky dink sheets (non branded, but the same stuff).
Single sheet per package, about 10" by 14".
The packaging changes, but this one is similar to what we recently purchased:

would HDPE (same stuff that milk cartons, many condiment bottles, detergent bottles, and a lot of other household containers are made of) work as well? Can that be properly sterilized? Google has been inconclusive

I think shrinks dinks are styrene. Milk jugs would probably just melt and make a mess in the oven.

I meant to cut out of. Not throw in the oven

Ah, gotcha.
