Forged a door pull today: it’s a bit of a conundrum because it’s both two feet end to end and still only eight inches long.

It was forged from a 1” slice of a 2”x7” piece of C-channel.

Had a great time in the laser cutting class yesterday, and I love my new dice box!

This was mostly made at the blacksmith shop at Brookhaven college, but also at DMS. Bicycle chain + 1090 powdered steel canister Damascus (with a twist), 1095 steel cutting edge, walnut handle. Pretty much done other than sharpening and a little cleanup.

I’m making it as an item to give away in a drawing for my MS ride fundraising. This is actually my first knife build (and it shows in some rookie mistakes) but I’ve learned a lot!
