Shipping Items and EPS Foam Quesions

I am getting into shipping a few products and I was wondering if anyone has some experience they can help me with. I make live edge tables, mostly console/sofa tables, coffee tables, and a few dining tables. I am planning to ship in a cardboard box with the legs detached to take up the least room, but I haven’t found anything close to reasonable prices on LTL shipping, and right now it seems my only option is Fedex, looking at close to $200 in shipping.
I have a nice cardboard box that will fit my table, but I also would like to use EPS sheets cut to perfectly fit my table.
Anyone have any advice on best pricing to get EPS sheets or how to find reasonable LTL shipping prices?
Thanks!
Ryan

I have zero experience, but I’ve always liked getting things with the “urethane foam” packaging, and it seems to me like it might work well for what I assume is a rather custom size/shape item, since it includes the live edge. Something like this, perhaps?

Obviously, you may have already seen and discarded that idea, but just in case, it seems really well-suited to custom piece needs like I imagine you have.
