Shapeoko 2 bed size

Newbie here. I have taken the Shapeoko class, but it has been a while, and I have not used it since. Is the bed size 50cm square? Can I use my own laptop with Easel?

No, it is smaller than that. The usable space is roughly about 30cm square.

Shapeoko Easel software is web driven however it does require driver(s) on the computer in question. You can bring your own Windows or Mac device OR I have laptop #19 setup for this. That’s the only laptop …(with) the right drivers for Easel and Universal G-Code Sender …

PS. The training material is available on the Committee Drive in the Creative Arts folder.

The training includes the correct machine settings if you use your own laptop.

Just an aside. Should that Shapeoko information be moved into the Woodshop committee folder, since the Shapeoko is under their jurisdiction now? A new member might not know that it was once part of CA, and not think to look there for infromation.

Yah, I considered that, but since they are @jphelps ’ files I was reluctant to do that.

However, if anyone reads the wiki, on the Shapeoko page, which is also linked from the Tools list, it specifically says the files are in the CA folder (last bullet).
