Don’t forget the Machine Shop Committee Meeting is Saturday Sept. 22 at 5pm.
Important topics are:
- Chair Election: By board request, the elections are taking place earlier than usual. All committees need a chair that will be active and present during the upcoming moving process. (No absentee chairs they said). So if you’re willing and able, throw your hat into the ring. This is a strong committee and there is lots of help available when requested.
- Open House: Open house is Oct 6. we need to decide if we will participate and what we want to do/demo if anything. Last year we had some great displays from about 4 volunteers. Ok, to be honest the majority of examples were mine. It pretty much looked like the Nick show and Bob’s physics machine was a big hit. If we decide to do anything we’ll need one more cleanup and signs on each machine and volunteers to demo or just be around to talk and expound the virtues of the machine shop. I always just say it’s where the cool kids hang out.
- Everything else: Bring your concerns and requests to the meeting. We’ve got a good list of consumables that we look at for reorder. If you thing we need something not on the list, let us know BUT be prepared to supply a link to the item. Don’t be lazy and expect someone else to look for it for you.
