Seeking Metal Bench Built

Looking at options for getting a custom bench built with storage underneath in my conversion van with a standard bench seat on top of it.

Bench area will be about 50"W x 18"H x 22"D. Bench will be mounted into van floor. Seatbelts will be mounted to the bench. The standard bench seat (meant for Jeeps) will be mounted on top.

The seats should pass as stable in the event of an accident, but I’m not trying to get it certified.

Bench will be mounted into van floor. Seatbelts will be mounted to the bench.

I wouldn’t touch that with a 10ft pole for liability reasons, and I’d recommend that anyone that took my welding class at DMS do the same. The first thing I teach in the safety class is, if your or someone else’s life and limb is hinging on your welds, pay someone who knows what they’re doing and has an insurance policy to weld it up for you.
