Searching for 20Tooth Timing Pulley

My CNC machine needs a new pulley, and I can only find it from china which means waiting 10+ days. Any idea in the US where I could source the following:

3mm pitch
20 Tooth
16mm belt width

Would you be interested in making it? We have a dividing head for the bridgeport, and a lathe for truing it up.

That’s a really wide belt. Could you get a 20/3 and use a narrower belt while waiting for the replacement?

I don’t think you have too many options. Most hobby CNC machines (3D printers) use belts nowhere near as wide. China is probably your only option if you dont want to machine it yourself.

Found these advertised in Machine design mag. Not sure if they have stock or build to order.

Interesting idea for a diy project:

Good luck!

McMaster-Carr has a very good search engine for parts like this:

Unfortunately, they only offer a T5 pulley for a 16mm belt and 20 teeth :frowning:

If you can find the version for a narrower belt, and you have enough shaft on your machine, perhaps you could get two, then turn each of them down on the lathe to half the desired thickness. Then put them both on the shaft, machined sides facing each other.

Little messy, and probably only a short term solution, but it might work while you wait on the actual parts.

Thanks everyone. Looked around on all the links and couldn’t find anything that would ship super quick so I just went with the narrower belt idea. Appreciate the help!
