Scientists just found soft tissue inside a dinosaur fossil. Why it's so exciting?

Here’s the article about it.

The last time the news of soft tissues in dinosaurs came out, skeptics eventually concluded that it was fungal mass growing in the bones. It is considered virtually impossible for soft tissue to survive millions of years; so much so, that it might even call into question the age of the fossils. DNA simply could not survive in the wild for millions of years.

Korean scientists have attempted to clone wooly mammoths from relatively fresher samples and claim they are getting closer to achieving that goal. By their own admission, it is a difficult endeavor, though not impossible.

I am sure that once cloning and breading wooly mammoths and dodos become a reality, dinosaurs will follow. It may still be thousands of years away, but it should be doable. In the few years that humans have known of and researched DNA, a lot has been learned - surprising and incredible things. There is no telling what discoveries in that field are still waiting patiently to be freed, and utilized. There is not telling what other fields, that make De-extinction a reality, are yet to be discovered and explored.

De-Extinction is the reason that news is so exciting… BUT it could also be some sort of cover paid advertizing to sell more New Jurassic park movie tickets.

Yes, Awesomer, I agree with you. I think it all amounts to a floccinaucinihilipilification.
