Scheduling of events

All,

As of the last board meeting, the classroom committee has taken over the approval of events and posting them to the appropriate calendars from the pr committee so that pr can focus on spreading the good word.

That said, after much gnashing of teeth and pulling of hair, I have processed all of the pending events that were posted by going to http://dallasmakerspace.org/calendar/ and pressing the big red Add Event button. Please check that your events have been posted properly to all of the calendars that you deem appropriate. Hopefully from this point forward the new events will be posted in a timely manner.

Thanks
Gus

You are the man, Gus!

Hi Gus,

Is it possible to change the time of an event? I want to change the time for all of my Saturday R/C Racing events to be 6:00 PM - 11:00PM.

Thank you,
David Walker

Hey David,

ok, done. Oh, btw, the calendars also support a recurring pattern.

Thanks
Gus

Hi Gus,

I want to make the Saturday Race Events a recurring event. I am not sure how to make it a recurring event. Is there some button or a drop-down menu option to select “recurring” in the New Event Request form?

The entry form doesn’t (yet) support recurring events, but Gus can mark the event as recurring in both the Google Calendar and the Meetup Calendar.

David,

You make the recurring by asking me nicely, and specifying the recurr
pattern. And of course, let me know when things change, like when the
calendar entry needs updating, deleting, etc.

Thanks
Gus
