Looked on the Calendar and could not find any classes scheduled for the scanner. Is there anyone proficient on training on it? Need to learn how to scan a buckle.

I need to put one on the calendar. I am waiting for the member meeting tonight since I’m running for board before I schedule another class.
I’ll put one up probably in the next two weeks. I can probably help you though one-on-one for your belt buckle project if I’m available.
I’d like to see the progress on the wax filament printing, too.

One thing I found out is that the Nextengine ScanStudio software we did not buy the $1000 CAD version that would allow us to export STEP and SolidWorks files of scans.
@frank_lima posted this video a while ago, and I think this process is a good way to extrapolate CAD models from raw 3D scan meshes.
I will put the photos up soon on the Wax print thread. The PLA turned out great! the wax is to hard to print with, binds too easy on extruder gear even with the new one on the printrbot there. I am still playing with it but the PLA is much easier with finer details.
