Sample packs of colored stain>

Do we have any of these?

I want to experiment with both coloring some clay and with colored slip

I wanted to find out what we have before I go buy some

Mason stains seemed incredibly expensive but they are cheaper if you buy large amounts. These could be awesome for fired arts to stock if it’s decided to charge for consumables.

Trinity used to carry a couple of sample sets of stains in the store
Maybe I will call them tomorrow and see if they still do

I saw some mason stains in FA before things got moved. I do not know what happened to them. Did they use them to color the slip for the slip casting class?

Someone taller than me or with better knees will need to look

There were a couple of mason stains that were in the smaller grey cabinet next to the glazes. We pulled them out to look at prior to the slip casting class but it wasn’t enough. New stains were bought, but they are for classes only.

The old stains should still be in the cabinet unless they were brought out for the slip casting class (don’t think so). If someone lays eyes on the old ones before I get a chance, could you please pull them out and place on the glaze shelf? Thanks!

Edit: Trinity does still have sampler packs so you can try out a variety for less investment, stains are cool!

Some years ago I make up colored clay instead of making the whole item with them
I applied them to the top

I was thinking about using some to make banded pendents I think that would be a neat way’ to get some jewelryf dolks interested in clay
