There is a new series of classes being created that are the next step up from cutting boards. These classes teach you how to create bowls and trays with a hand router. If this looks like fun, let us know in the comments what kind of items you might enjoy making.

Nope, not mine. I expect we will be seeing some crazy awesome designs out of this crowd. Since we have those laser cutters, we aren’t constrained to templates someone else is selling. Let the creativity run wild!
Food safe is a matter of the wood that you use, and the finish. I am assuming that wood you might use for a cutting board could also be used for bowls.
I would definitely take this, but I’d want to practice on something like pine before risking a nice piece of wood; especially something laminated/segmented.
