3D fab ordered a Rostock Max V3 which is a large Delta printer. It’s a kit so we need to build it. It will be replacing our Printrbot Simple Metal and will be allowed PLA, PETG, Nylon, and other exotic filament types.
I am putting in an event on the calendar for Sunday from noon to 10pm to build the kit. There are several sub assemblies so the more people that help the better. Training will be a little more involved since we will be using a different slicer.
SeeMeCNC announced an upgrade kit from the V3 to the V3.2 which will make it quieter and better print quality, so that upgrade will be coming soon.

I’m teaching a Shapeoko class Sunday at 11 AM. I’ll plug this in class and swing by afterward to donate a bit of time. I’ve built an I3 and always wanted to get some time under the hood on a Delta printer. Good deal!

so glad you asked, since we can not get ahold of our previous peoples- we were going to give it to a starting out hackerspace- but since they never contacted us back Mitch and i decided to put it up for auction at the picnic.

How’d the build go? Wanted to be there for it but notice was just too short – a bronchial infection and I had a hot date, and you just don’t wanna cancel on that lady…
I finished up the kit last night. It’s in the common room for now. It was late so I didn’t start a print, I will tonight or Wednesday. Stan gave me a pi 3 b+ so I can run Octoprint.
