I talked to someone in the elab some weeks ago who was working on (and mostly done with?) a really nice-looking iteration on the RFID lock that 3d fab had a while back on their locking cabinet.
Can anyone point me at who that was?
A lot of committees are now using at least one of this same cabinet, and many of them are eager to have RFID locks installed on them. This is something that electronics can do that would be immensely appreciated by DMS as a whole. I counted 32 of these things spanning most committees throughout the space.
I maintained the one in 3d fab for a minute and can vouch that we’d be alright just to duplicate that setup, but I’d MUCH rather use the engineered design that someone showed me recently.
