I bought the this Turnigy micro quad copter as a first multi-rotor to try out.

PRO: cheap, almost ready to fly, includes flight controller/motors/ESC
CON: flimsy frame, difficult to fly for beginner
For a beginner multi-rotor I don’t think I would recommend this multi-rotor. While it has all of the essentials to get flying (minus radio, receiver, battery) it is not very beginner friendly. The frame is very prone to break near the motor mounts. For some reason they decided to put the motor wires holes on the thinnest section of the frame arms. I broke two motor mounts within 4 flying sessions. Also it is not trivial to setup stability control with the KK2 flight controller. I recommend studying up on the KK2 and fortunately there are plenty of manuals and youtube videos online for it.
