Definitely calls for an immediate ban, referral to Carrollton Police and maybe even the ATF.

Are you ratcheting up the enforcement of tool rules?

Yeah we need to clamp down hard.

but not with micrometers.

(edit: referencing an unfortunate incident last winter when some bozo actually use a micrometer as a clamp. eyeroll)

May I suggest, for the benefit of the community, this infraction only be given a TAP on the wrist, so the desire to return the tool doesn’t DIE?

I saw that coming. Despite your call for lenience, it’s time to chisel away at this indifference and hammer into folks the need to be excellent. But you’re right, there’s no need to lay it on with a trowel.

Your opinion has been drilled into my mind and gouged me. I feel screwed, and that I should bolt, but perhaps we should just vent it all out.

At least it wasn’t a 10mm socket, that would be unforgivable.

You’re right. I’ve seen at least one meme on this very topic. I’ve been buying individual Craftsman sockets to fill a few holes in my socket organizers. The only sizes the eBay sellers never seem to have are 10 & 12mm.

Even eBay sellers lose them and/or have them stolen.

Last time I needed to purchase a 10mm (needed a deep one) I found that the local auto parts store had a kit of something like 12x10mm sockets for about double the cost of the single deep that I needed. It had all sorts of sizes and types. Highly recommended!

Yeah but I’m talking about the dealers that sell individual replacements. They buy complete sets and part them out. The 10 and 12 go first.
