Hi there. I’m pretty new to Makerspace, but I took the wood shop safety orientation with Greg on July 29th, which is in the list of my events in my account in the Calendar. But I am now trying to sign up for the Router Table Fundamentals class on 9/4, and it gives me an error message that the safety orientation is a prerequisite. Anyone know what else I need to do, so that my account registers that I’ve taken the safety orientation?
Several things:
- you may need to log out and back into the calendar to get it recognize your prerequiste.
- you can check what authorizations you have by logging in at: https://whoami.dallasmakerspace.org/
- You should apply for a ‘green dot’ (which is no longer green, or a dot. It’s member access and lets you see member only categories like ‘Issues and requests’) DMS Member Profiles system - Member Benefits - DMS Source
Thanks for the response! I was able to get me accounts linked for active member flair.
Should I move this question to the “Issues and requests” section?
Logging into the whoami system, it’s currently just a blank page under assigned groups.
I did log out and log back into Calendar, but it still isn’t understanding that I took the safety orientation.
You need to contact the woodshop instructor for your class to get them to add you to the group that recognizes completion of woodshop safety training. The fact that your whoami response is blank indicates you are not in any groups.
As you add qualifications it will start to look like this:
Was that taught by @Greg_Seale “Greg” ?
Answered in other thread.
Plz ignore.
Burt was able to get this taken care of. Thanks!
