Resolved - Powermatic Table Saw Blade Height Adjuster Not Working

@Team_Woodshop The blade height adjuster has stopped working. I was lowering the blade and it was working but when I tried to raise the blade, it wouldn’t raise (adjustment wheel just spins). At this point, the adjustment wheel spins in either direction but the blade does not raise or lower. I taped a note to the table near the blade.

On the Powermatic table saw.

That happened awhile back it seemed the key stock had fallen out I got help from a machinist who made me another then I found the missing one on the ground nearby I would check there, I did leave the “spare” one on the wire rack next to the powermatic so maybe check there

Yea it’s the key. If the key is gone I’ve bought a bag of spares that’s in the maintenance box.

Someone really needs to clean the worm gear first. The key didn’t just fall out. The key missing is a symptom of the worm gear being full of compressed wood. The handle is binding and people just keep cranking on it.

@j801496
Thanks for doing this.

It wasn’t too bad. Just a little sawdust.
