[RESOLVED] Just a quick electrical question

Re: the ground fault circuit by the coffee maker.

So, the coffee maker is dark. I pushed the reset button on the ground fault thing a couple of times. The coffee maker kinda makes a click, and doesn’t start.

Does this indicate a short in the coffee maker??

Not necessarily a short. If the GFCI outlet is tripping then there is current leakage somewhere, or the outlet has failed.

Okay. I’ll check that out later tonight. The coffee maker is the only thing on that plug. I’ll have to plug something in as I can’t see a light indicating it’s in service.

every building maintenance crew should have a few tools in their box. This is one of them, and would be perfect for this purpose.
I’d ask the Team_Infrastructure folks if they have one. Surely they do, or something equally useful for in this case…

We have one  It’s in the Server Room filing cabinet.

The Keurig seems to be working now. I checked the outlet, it is fine.

I had to press and hold the power switch on the left rear, top of the unit.
