[Resolved]I can’t move these

I can’t move either of these trash cans. I’m sure they weigh more than 50 pounds each. If I can’t move them, I’m sure the cleaning crew won’t.

I can’t imagine what could be in either of these that is so blasted heavy, but people who have used these cans need to dig through them to empty them.

Need two solutions; the immediate problem of getting these emptied and the longer term fix to prevent recurrence.

@team_ceramics … not saying they are full of clay because I don’t know, but it could be a contributor. Perhaps you could put a 5-gallon bucket next to the sink for clay refuse only and then your committee could empty it when it’s full. A 5 gallon bucket could weigh more than 35 pounds so maybe even that is too big.

Im sure there is clay in there since we teach folks to remove all large chunks of clay before they clean items in the sinks.

I’ve emptied the trash cans, they both weighed more than 40lbs. I didnt see much if any clay. This has been taken to pm.

Thanks

You’re definitely right about the weight of wet clay. A couple of years ago I tried to lift the trash bag full of wet clay out of a 5 gal bucket. I quit when I started to grey out. Definitely more than 40 lbs. I can lift 40 lbs.
