[Resolved] Dynatorch computer overheating 2024/09/06

Dynatorch computer was down again. Hot to the touch, not sending signals to the monitor. I shut it down and unplugged for 5 min. then was able to get a successful boot. I suggest that a filtered cooling fan be added to the case to prolong the computer lifespan.

Update:

Dynatorch Plasma CNC software is unable to recognize a controller. It stays on the warning

“GCLib ver: 223.302.424 WARNING! Gcaps service is not running! Please reinstall Galil GDK!”

Any ideas?

Likely the power is not on to the controller. IE the E-stop is depressed

I tried that, but I’ll try again

Ok, 2nd time is the charm. I must not have pulled it all the way up. Thanks

If the red light isn’t illuminated on the Dynatorch red cabinet, then the E-stop is likely to be the culprit.

That light no longer exists, it has been smashed/eradicated.
