Reprap Printer help MendelMax 2.0

So… I need a little help with my printer…

It is modeled after a MendelMax 2.0 that I beefed up for a larger volume. Why? Male ego of course… I feel like everything that can happen has happened(but I am being dramatic) It has become a headache for me and I work on it once a month for maybe 4 hours and give up…

Print Volume: 320mmX380mmX300
Controller: Megatronics V3.0 with DRV8825 step drivers at 1/32
Power supply: Xbox 212W
Slic3r/Pronterface

So to the point…

I have added a picture of its current state. I think my steppers are stalling but with my electronic ignorance I am hoping to get a second opinion before I dig myself into a hole. During printing they seem to jump or make a thunk sound. Before, they jumped almost 1/4" per layer but I lowered my axis acceleration in the firmware which seemed to help. It is obvious in the X and Y and may be happening in Z and possibly the extruder. My Y carriage is heavy so I could see it stalling but the X axis is only holding the extruder so I am baffled.

The next step would be tuning it for T-glase but that is for another time…

Check driver current with the screw-pots. Check for resistance on the carriage. Possibly use a bowden setup instead of having a heavy x-carriage.

T-glase I’m finding out from the little I tried on the PolyPrinter, requires a bigger nozzle and a way slower print speed. Pearce got some decent single wall prints but it’s definitely a different material.
