Report this else it doesn't get replaced

this is why we can’t have nice things. we all know things break. it is part of machining. BUT just leaving it and not reporting that it broke doesn’t help anyone. this broken center drill was luckily found last night. I can’t replace it if I don’t know about it. No one gets mad because it breaks folks, but the laziness of not reporting it does not go unnoticed.

Remember folks, it is incumbent on everyone to do this. this user did not give a damn that you don’t have one to use now (since he got to use it and break it). so if you want a fully stocked shop, keep us informed on what happens and what is needed.

This should be Standard Operating Procedure or SOP for all committee areas.

agreed. this is just a reminder of the procedure - REPORT or do without.

Cutters wear out and break, they are referred to perishable/consumable tools for that reason. We aren’t going get angry. When you came in the tool you needed was there, report it, so it gets replaced so the next member has the same experience.

Thanks
