Replacement cartridge for summit soap

Anyone happen to know if there are refill cartridges for the summit soap in the utility room? I can replace it just don’t see any in the room or unisex bathroom, @Team_Logistics any idea?

@Bill had been getting Walmart Equate Foaming Soap and refilling the cartridges in the soap dispensers. There may be some of that under the cabinets in the kitchen.

I think Jim Hartnett was the supplier on that… @hon1nbo

Here’s a refill for it…

$15.99 for 2.5 liters. I didn’t check shipping. Is there a local place?

7 jugs would get us free shipping… Do the walnut shells make it substantially better than the GoJo?

Yes, local as in South Arlington

I do believe it was decided it’s much better than gojo

I’m gonna try and make a run there whilst I’m back for the weekend; need more steel.

If Logistics gets some they can specify local pickup, but Summit is picky about the names (though as long as you put it on the Makerspace account I can probably show them my DMS email or something). I say just get a quantity of it to qualify for the free shipping and it will last us for quite a while.

It looks like that one bottle lasted us a tad over 2 months; a set of 7 and just taking the free shipping could be considered a year’s supply. If you get more maybe make one of them the pack with a dispenser and you can save the dispenser for the expansion.

EDIT: for reference this is the old thread. We never did settle on anything besides this stuff; everywhere we looked it either had that walnut shell in facility warning, or we couldn’t find an answer online. Maybe ordering bottles to get some alternatives but it seems with just a clearer label everyone ended up content since those with the allergies have just been assuming everything they touch may have it anyway

Interesting. Decades ago I worked for a little company. I found them on the web as Texas Novachem. Back in the 80’s, they made a product called Microscrub, which had little plastic scrubbing things in it. Now it seems that they make something called ProSoap (no details on any scrubbers included in the soap), and it’s quite a bit more than the Summit.

It may be that communities objected to the plastic scrubbers in their waste stream… who knows…

The FDA banned the use of plastic microbeads in these kinds of products, thus the replacement with walnut shells or other more expensive products.
