Just FYI - we dug out the refractometer and tested the lathe coolant and the pre-mix bucket.
the current lathe coolant is at roughly 5% oil to water. the pre-mix bucket came in at only 6% so someone might
consider mixing up a more potent batch next time.
Bob K and I discussed making a universal batch at 8% which can also be used on the HAAS but in the end, the HAAS has such a large water tank (50 gals) that any premix would just get diluted to an unusable level. We’ll continue to do that seperately. there is about 1-1/2 gallons of concentrate in the teachers cabinet for mixing.
