Rebel Craft Rumble - partner in crime needed

I’ve just been invited to create a team for Scraps Rebel Craft Rumble May 6th (they plan ahead) representing DMS. Woo!

Here’s what the director said: It is a super fun event where 4 craft duo teams compete in dramatic, timed craft offs in front of an audience (imagine chopped, but with crafting). They are given materials and have a set amount of time to build something out of those materials. Each round a team is eliminated by our local judges. It is silly and raucous and just a ton of fun.

If you would like to be my partner in crime for this event you will need to:

  1. be willing to wear a costume
  2. be free that night and willing to travel to Denton
  3. put your name below and we will choose at random during the CA committee meeting Jan 19th (I’m also going to post this on FB)
  4. propose our team name (for super good ones we will throw your name in the kitty twice)
  5. realize how competitive I can be and match me in my intensity and dedication to whatever small prize might be at hand
  6. be willing to help organize an afterparty at one of Denton’s many watering holes

Does it all have to be done there or can our team come back to use DMS resources?

I’m sure we would need to stay in Denton - it’s in the black box theatre and they are giving us everything we can use (from the sounds of it).

Do we have to limit the party to only one Denton Watering Hole? I vote Drunkin Denton Celebration CRAWL!!!
Imagine a Shot Hunt where you have to find a bar order a Special shot and the bartender gives you a Shot and a Clue!. You take the Shot, then you read the clue to figure out what the next bar and shot are. Rinse and Repeat, probably shouldn’t go more than 8 or 10 bars. Make the last bar a nice hang that isn’t too crowded to just chill at and let the shots run their course.
