Raspberry pi help

Hi makers, I am new to the raspberry pi world but would like to take apart a samsnug tab 2 for its screen to use with my pi 3 model b can this be done ? Any good sources you recommend?

Thanks
Josh W

while this may be possible, it would be much easier to buy the special 7" screen they sell at microcenter for the pi. It already has the right connector and everything, I think it’s $60 for a cap. touch 7" screen. You can see a sample of it in the common area where you scan your RFID for access to things.

The task isn’t simple or trivial. LCD displays require controllers and that most likely integrated onto the tablet’s main board. If that’s the case you’ll need to source an external touchscreen controller board that is compatible with it and that has linux drivers available. After that you get to figure out how to interface it with the Pi.
