Radio Shack has two different SKUs for the RGB LED strips: 2760249 & 2760339.

Yeah, I bought several packages of those 1M tri-color LED strips for 59c each from the store in Corinth.

I’m not at home so I can’t comment on which SKU they were but they are IC controlled and can hook up to the Arduinos. They can also be cut into small strips that can be individually controlled.

They way they are wired in the strips they are in groups of three. One TM1803 drive three LEDs in series. There is a zener diode to drop the 12v down for the IC.
