Question about updating wiki with YouTube videos

This question originated in Wood Shop, but it might apply to other committees so I’m asking here.

Do we need to do anything special to link 3rd party YouTube videos to the wiki for supplemental (NOT sign off) safety videos?

Hypothetical example: YouTube creator John Doe makes a safety video on how to change a bandsaw blade. In our hypothetical example, the committee chair has reviewed the video and agrees with the content. We currently don’t have a DMS-created video for this. Do we need a disclaimer or something to post it on the wiki?

Thanks.

Nope, treat it like any other link. I’d recommend that if the video is extra long, use the YouTube feature to link to specific video parts to jump towards the point of interest.

Machine Shop actually has supplemental training that uses the MIT machine shop videos before members take the machine-side classes.
