Question about the 5-Part Build More Robots Class

I have a 7 year old son that has told me he wants to “build a robot.” Is this class appropriate for a kid this age? (Obviously accompanied by his Dad.) He’s somewhat proficient with hand tools and he has already done some very basic programming on my Arduino board.

Thanks,

Phil

I’m not associated with the actual class, but it sounds perfect for kids!

I also cannot answer your question but I run a couple of classes occasionally that might also be of interest. Total beginners to electronics and programming are welcome and I furnish all parts except a laptop. Arduino and other microcontrollers are very popular with the robotics crowd. I’ll be posting new classes within a few days. The following links to previous classes have detailed class descriptions.

For more details see Dallas Personal Robotics Group (DPRG) https://www.dprg.org/category/news/ for details.
To see if this is a good fit for you and your son, if you can come out to the RBNO next Tue. He said that he will be @ RBNO around 7pm. Also, Doug is going to give the overview/ 1st session at the DPRG monthly meeting Feb 10.
Hope this helps.
