Question about donating wood

I have quite a bit of wood at my personal shop that I do not need and I was wondering if it could be used at the makerspace.

I have quite a bit of 2x4, 1x2 2x6 large 4x8 sheets of plywood. And many other items. It’s all in very good condition almost new.

Would it be worth it for me to bring up there and will members use it?

We do have a scrap bin that is currently over flowing, but we can clear out the none usable stuff to make room for the usable stuff. If it doesn’t fit in the bin/ on the cart. Then it would have to go. So depending on how much you are talking about, you might have to take some back with you. Please don’t bring pressure treated wood. Thank you.

Maybe there could be an area reserved for the training classes. This would be a good start. A thought anyway.

If you have any hardwood, even in small sizes, I’m getting a collection of scraps to use in future inlay and intarsia projects. Any hardwood scraps would be appreciated.

If you still need a place to get rid of it my scout pack is trying to build up a donated trailer we got over the summer and could use any wood for the build. Specifically the plywood for shelves and doors

I have some mesquite and walnut cutoffs that could be used.
