a while back the firmware got updated with an “odometer” for the printers
the data only goes back as far as the firmware update but we still have a lot of info on the machines

epically cool pearce thanks. its amazing to see how much these printers get used.

Far Righty is a BEAST!!! Love it
These data are interesting. Recognizing that center lefty and center righty might be anomalous due to their short period of time, and assuming my math is correct, here is the calculation for hours per print:
far lefty: 2.6 hours/print
lefty: 2 hours/print
center lefty: 8.6 hours/print
center righty: 3.9 hours/print
righty: 3 hours/print
far righty: 2.4 hours/print
This was a real eye-opener for me. This means that on average, if someone has just started a print, the next person needs to expect to wait several hours to start their print.
Of course, these particular data don’t show the distribution of job lengths. They could all be similar, or it could be completely bimodal with a bunch of short jobs and a bunch of super huge jobs.
Does it make sense to designate one of the printers as an “express” printer - i.e., no print longer than (one hour?) (30 minutes?) or some other specific length?

one two, buckle my shoe
This is great! I love’s me some data.
About how long ago was the firmware update?
What I find most interesting about that data is it seems to indicate that we will use about 3kg of filament per printer per month, and the two new additions are on pace to match that. That indicates we still have unmet demand…
With a total of 108.81 Kg of filament, that represents a maximum fee collection of $10881 less the personal filament used. Do we know how much filament has been purchased/consumed since may and how much revenue has actually been collected?
I was interested in the same question. I don’t think we have purchased nearly that much filament.
Some of the data will be off for lefty and righty because they went back to the shop and got full overhauls, that usually earns them a firmware update as well. Far lefty and far righty will have the oldest firmware clocks.
