What is the official protocol for cleaning up a mess left in a working area of DMS? A mess left by an unknown member(s).
- do you wait a certain amount of time or days before it can be cleaned up?
- contact the committee of the area the mess is left in, under their category on Talk?
- or?
Start with the committee I guess?
I don’t think there’s an official protocol but what I’ve seen is more of a be the bigger person approach where if you need to use an area that’s a mess, just go ahead and clean it up. Take photos and post them here or send them to the committee chair so everyone knows it happened but you took care of it. If it is a large enough mess, or a repeat offender the chair might want to look at the camera to see who did it. We are all supposed to clean up after ourselves, but sometimes people forget or may just be somewhere else in the space at the moment you walk up.

Please don’t post pictures on talk. Public burnings just cause people to quit their membership. You don’t know if they simply got in a rush or something came up that they had to leave. Chair 1on 1 talks are effective. If you send the chair the date and time they should be able back track the cameras to see what happened.

If it’s an ongoing problem, not tied to a committee, guess it would be logistics.
