I’d like to propose a new member committee. It would handle new member issues and complaints. Members would be responsible for answering new member questions, assist with putting new members in touch with the SMEs for the correct committee. One person could shadow the Thurs tours to make sure correct information is being relayed.
I think this is called being a good member and volunteering when you can and being nice to everyone you talk to. I’m a fan of the idea but I’m not sure it needs to be a committee. Also what @zmetzing said, if it comes to that it might be a good fit with the PR committee.

I would be on board with it being a sig under PR. I would like to just formalize the process. I think having a dedicated set of individuals giving out the same information would be a good thing. We would incorporate the idea of mentoring with SMEs into the sig.
