How exactly does the project storage work? I get that you look for an open slot, print a ticket with date needed till, and then put that on the slot. However it looks like the majority of the vertical slips have a project with ticket taped to it on top of what looks like 5 years of lumber/scraps. Does the ticket for whats on top cover everything in the slip or is the vertical storage more of a ticket for the project and fit it anywhere you can?
Reason for the question, I have a project of 2 bookcases that will have about 50 board foot and take about a week. Usually I bring projects in and take them with me but this is too big to lug back and forth in a 2 door Wrangler
Vertical storage is basically just tape the ticket directly to your materials, jam them in where you can, and hope for the best. It’s really only the horizontal shelf space that has a defined ticket spot for that shelf space.
Yep. About mid way down between door to the front and door to woodshop.
Swipe your rfid and fill out. Prints out ticket. Put ticket on your storage slot.
QED
As one of the few who help w/ off siting, I/we ask you do the following.
PLZ bundle your items best you can and put your name and contact info on it.
Blue tape, straps, etc. Prevents confusion/consternation if we have to off site your stuff.
Also keeps it together at off site where you have ~30 days to retrieve it.
